Rock’s Double Dose: Daughtry and Seether Bring It Big in Texas

It was a beautiful Tuesday night in November when rock fans packed into the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, for one of the most anticipated shows of the season — the Seether and Daughtry Co-Headlining Tour. The night promised an unforgettable lineup of energy, nostalgia, and powerhouse performances — and it absolutely delivered.
Kicking off the night was the sensational Kami Kehoe, who took to the stage with confidence and charisma beyond her years. She and her band wasted no time firing up the crowd, opening with a commanding performance of “Something in the Water.” By the third song, Kami jumped behind the drums herself, raining down thunderous beats while continuing to sing — a move that instantly won over the crowd. Her set was full of energy, passion, and interaction with fans, weaving through songs like “DIE 4 U,” “DOPAMINE,” and a bold cover of Kings of Leon’s “Sex on Fire.” By the time she closed with “SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD,” it was clear Kami Kehoe is an artist to watch.
Next up was the legendary P.O.D., hailing from San Diego and ready to remind everyone why they’ve been a cornerstone of the rock and nu-metal scene for over two decades. As the house lights dimmed and the opening chords of “Boom” rang out, the crowd erupted with energy. Frontman Sonny Sandoval commanded the stage with ease, connecting with fans and feeding off their excitement. The band tore through a mix of classics and new material, including the crushing “Drop” and the fan-favorite “Youth of the Nation.” A highlight moment came when they surprised the audience with a heartfelt Beatles cover, “Don’t Let Me Down,” turning the venue into a massive sing-along. Closing with “Alive,” P.O.D. left the stage to a roaring ovation, proving they still bring the same fire and punk-rock spirit that made them icons.
The crowd buzzed with anticipation as lights dimmed once more, signaling the arrival of Daughtry. One by one, the band took the stage until frontman Chris Daughtry appeared to a wave of cheers. They opened with “Divided,” setting the tone for a high-energy set filled with powerhouse vocals and emotional moments. The band flawlessly moved through songs like “The Day I Die” and “It’s Not Over,” keeping the energy high while connecting with the crowd between songs. Midway through the set, Kami Kehoe rejoined Daughtry on stage for a stunning duet of Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” their harmonies blending beautifully as the audience sang along. Later, Chris slowed things down with a touching acoustic version of “Home,” asking fans to light up the venue with their phones — creating a breathtaking sea of light and nostalgia. After ramping the energy back up with “Heavy Is the Crown,” Daughtry closed their set with the electrifying “Artificial,” leaving the crowd amped and ready for the final act.
Finally, it was time for the South African rock heavyweights Seether to close out the night. The venue went dark as atmospheric intro music filled the air — then, with an explosion of lights, they launched into “Lost All Control.” The crowd erupted, feeding off the band’s signature blend of melody and aggression. Seether rolled straight into “Needles” and “Country Song,” the latter sending the audience into a frenzy as they sang along to every lyric. The band’s chemistry on stage was electric — each member taking turns engaging the fans and showcasing their musicianship. One of the evening’s standout moments came with a stripped-down performance of “Broken,” which had the entire venue singing in unison. Without missing a beat, they jumped back into heavier territory with “Wasteland” and “Words as Weapons.” Seether closed their set with a barrage of fan favorites — “Fake It” and “Remedy” — ending the night on a massive high and leaving the crowd wanting more.
From start to finish, the Seether + Daughtry Co-Headlining Tour stop at Toyota Music Factory was a masterclass in live rock performance. Every act brought their own unique energy — from Kami Kehoe’s fresh intensity to P.O.D.’s timeless energy, Daughtry’s polished power, and Seether’s raw heaviness. It was a night filled with passion, nostalgia, and pure rock spirit — a tour no fan should miss.
