Garmin KC Air Show announces final roster for Labor Day weekend shows

New Century, KS – The roster for the 2022 Garmin KC Air Show is set with world class
performers and dozens of static displays and experiences. This Labor Day weekend join us for
the biggest end-of-summer party in the Midwest!


The Garmin KC Air Show’s featured performers, the US Air Force Thunderbirds, are back to
celebrate the Air Force’s 75th Anniversary. Also, representing our military heroes in the sky will
be the US Army Golden Knights, the US Air Force A-10 Demo Team, and the US Navy EA-18G
Growler Legacy Team.1

New civilian performers this year include the Red Bull Airforce, US National Aerobatic Champion
Patty Wagstaff, and Rob Holland who just took silver at the FAI World Championships in Poland.


The Garmin KC Air Show static displays give guests the opportunity to see past and present
military aircraft up close. These include, but are not limited to, the MV-22 Osprey, A-10
Thunderbolt, UH-60 Blackhawk, the CH-47 Chinook, AC-47 “Spooky”, and B-17 “Texas Raider”.


There are also experiences for the whole family including a virtual reality military mission
through the Air Force called “The Hangar”, STEM education activities for kids, monster truck rides, and the Top Gun experience, which includes the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of an F-18 for a keepsake photo.

The 2022 Garmin KC Air Show is slated for September 3rd and 4th at New Century AirCenter in
New Century, KS. The show goes from 10 am to 4 pm each day. Guests who plan to attend
need to buy tickets in advance and reserve their parking spot before the event. Tickets can be
purchased and parking reservations made at kcairshow.org. Tickets are limited and going
quickly.

Getting to the KC Air Show

We have two parking options for guests: Paid parking (premium or platinum) or free offsite
parking. No matter which option you choose you must reserve your spot ahead of time by going
to the KC Air Show website.

The KC Air Show has obtained Johnson County Transit and DS Bus Line complimentary shuttles
to get people from the free parking lots to the gates of the KC Air Show. There is NO parking on
site other than Premium and Platinum Parking. Rideshare vehicles such as Uber, Lyft and Ztrip,
will not have access to drop people off at the gate of the KC Air Show.

Free Admittance for Active Duty Military

As a thank you to those who are serving our country, any active-duty military member with a
government issued ID will get into the KC Air Show free of charge.

KC Air Show Charities Inc. (KCASCI) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports aviation-
focused STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) educational programs for school-age children in the Kansas City area.
