If the music was played any harder or the sound any louder I am pretty convinced the roof of The Metal Grill in Milwaukee, WI would have been blown to pieces as Darkest Hour made a stop on their “Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora” Tour. It was my first time attending a show at The Metal Grill and I was pleasantly surprised. Upon first entering the venue, all you see is a bar until you make your way to the stage where it opens up to at least a 150 cap room. I arrived as Rotten Sound was hitting the stage and found that they were a perfect pairing for Darkest Hour.
When Darkest Hour hit the stage you felt them just as much as you heard them starting out with Knife in the Safe Room followed by For the Soul of the Savior. With amazing musicianship and great sound this show was one I wouldn’t have wanted to miss. My favorite songs of the night would have to be Doomsayer and Timeless Numbers. Some songs I listened to on Spotify previously, but wish they would have played on tour are DEMON(S) and Wasteland.
